NRL Report:Melbourne Storm signed another star player from.

Cameron Munster, an NRL player, rejoins StormAfter months of conjecture, Melbourne star Cameron Munster has decided to stay with the Storm until the end of 2027, rejecting a massive competing offer from the NRL’s newest team.

The Storm and the Dolphins, who will join the NRL next year, had a public bidding battle that ended with the Queensland State of Origin player agreeing to a four-year contract.

It is said that Munster forfeited a sizeable sum of money in order to remain in Melbourne rather than return to his native state.

The 28-year-old admitted to reporters on Wednesday that he was still undecided about the choice.

But before traveling to England for the World Cup, the ace five-eighth informed the Storm that he would be staying in the Victorian city.

“I love the Melbourne Storm and I am proud to be committing to the club for a further four years,” Munster stated.

“In the end, Melbourne is where my heart is, where I want to play football, and Melbourne is the club I want to be a part of for the remainder of my career, so it’s such a big decision for me.

My goal has always been to play for just one club. I was given the opportunity to play NRL by Storm, and ever since I made my debut, the club has grown to feel like a second home.

“Both (partner) Bianca and I have family back in Queensland but we are settled in Melbourne, we have a great support network and we look forward to growing our young family in the years to come.”

The club was happy that the “generational talent” was sticking with the enduring powerhouse, according to Storm chair Matt Tripp.

“Cameron will always be a Queenslander, but we are pleased he now calls Melbourne home as well,” Tripp stated.

Cameron has developed significantly in the past 12 months, both on and off the field. He has demonstrated once more that he is among the greatest players in the NRL by working incredibly hard to get into form during the off-season.

“Most importantly, Cameron has never been in a better place in his life, he is happy, healthy and settled with his young family, and we are thrilled he has decided to remain with the Storm and will become a one club player.”

At least until the end of the 2025 season, Munster will remain at Storm, joining Harry Grant, Jahrome Hughes, Ryan Papenhuyzen, Xavier Coates, Justin Olam, and Christian Welch who have all signed long-term contracts.
