Nottingham Forest set to be without five key players…

The latest information about Nottingham Forest as the Reds head to Villa Park looking to build on their much-needed victory over West Ham. While Aston Villa’s victory over Fulham may have steadied the ship, the race for a top four finish has heated up over the last month or so. Manchester United’s improvement since their loss to Nottingham Forest, along with the return of Tottenham Hotspur’s key players, has meant that Villa’s wobble has come at a bad time.

Even though Unai Emery knows he will need to do so without a number of important players, he still hopes his team is through it and can build on their 2-1 victory at Craven Cottage this weekend against the Reds.

In contrast to Villa’s current team news predicament, which has seen the Claret & Blues shaken by not one, but two major knee injuries, that’s a very decent situation.

After midfielder Boubacar Kamara was injured earlier this month against Manchester United, Emery was left with a major dilemma regarding who should play alongside Douglas Luiz in the double pivot.

In defense, the situation is even more dire. Diego Carlos, the center back, is recovering from a hamstring injury and won’t be ready until March. Tyrone Mings has been sidelined for an extended period of time and might not play again this season, but Ezri Konsa, who is out with a knee sprain, has a similar timeline.

Due to a hamstring injury, Jon Duran has been out for several weeks, making Ollie Watkins the main player for Villa.
