Good news:He’s back Tennessee Volunteers key player

A key member of the Tennessee Vols has announced his return for the 2023 campaign.

A vital member of the Tennessee Vols revealed on Wednesday that he will be back in 2023.

In a Wednesday media session, wide receiver Bru McCoy assured reporters that he will “without a doubt” be back in Tennessee the following season.

“Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back next year,” McCoy replied. “As for the role, all I can do is be the best team member I can be. I’m going to keep working hard and trying my best to help teams win games. In the end, I just want to set more team goals than personal ones. And simply venture forth and achieve success.”

McCoy was a vital member of the Volunteers in 2022 after transferring from USC to Tennessee in the spring.

The native of California hauled in 48 receptions for 619 yards and three touchdowns by the end of the season. The team’s second-best receiving yard total was 619, trailing only Jalin Hyatt’s 1,267.

This season, McCoy made a few huge catches for Tennessee at pivotal times. But without a doubt, his reception against Alabama that put the Vols in field goal range stands out as his most memorable catch.

With Hyatt and Cedric Tillman leaving for the NFL, the Vols must get McCoy back the following season. Joe Milton is expected to start at quarterback for UT the following season, but his wealth of offensive experience from this season will be valuable.

In 2023, McCoy, Squirrel White, and Ramel Keyton ought to be Tennessee’s three starting wide receivers.
