English rock group Genesis was founded in 1967 at Godalming, Surrey’s Charterhouse School. Keyboardist Tony was a member of the group’s longest-standing and most financially successful lineup.
Phil Collins, the drummer and singer, Mike Rutherford, and bassist/guitarist Banks. Progressive rock was first popularized by Genesis in the 1970s, when the band also featured guitarist Steve Hackett and singer Peter Gabriel.
For the most of his career, Gabriel has been an advocate for global music. In 1982, he helped create the WOMAD festival.[3] He has persisted in concentrating on creating and disseminating global music under the Real global Records banner. He was a pioneer in the field of digital music distribution, having co-founded one of the earliest online music download businesses, OD2.[4] Gabriel has additionally taken part in a number of charitable initiatives. He published the anti-apartheid single “Biko” in 1980.[3] He has taken part in other benefit performances for human rights, like as
