MUKUBA IS ARRIVING IN ATX DEC 8Former Clemson Tigers safety Andrew Mukuba has reportedly scheduled several visits after logging into the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier this week, according to reports from On3.

And a trip to the Texas Longhorns in Austin is one of those visits.

Austin native Mukuba, the portal’s top-ranked safety, was a vital member of a Clemson team that finished No. 24 in the country for scoring defense, No. 5 for pass defense, No. 27 for rush defense, and No. 7 for total defense.

Mukuba finished third on that defense in terms of total tackles (42), along with two sacks for loss and six interceptions of passes.

Mukuba has participated in 35 games over the past three seasons, recording 143 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, and 16 PBUs.

Additionally, he has scheduled visits to Ole Miss, Oregon, USC, and Oklahoma, the home of his former lead recruiter and defensive coordinator, Brent Venables.

NEYOR TO PORTAL DEC 8The NCAA Transfer Portal has been accessed by Texas Longhorns reserve wide receiver Isaiah Neyor, according to reports from On3.

After transferring from Wyoming, Neyor was once a highly-anticipated addition to the Longhorns roster. However, after suffering an injury that ended his first season in Austin, he was never able to get into the receiver rotation.

TREY MOORE TO TEXAS DEC 7?What about on defense? It’s been reported that the Texas Longhorns have already communicated with a few top receivers via the transfer portal.

Trey Moore, a UTSA EDGE transfer, has been the subject of a Texas-sized buzz since he entered the portal on Tuesday; however, no reported contact has occurred as of yet. Now that recruiting analysts are speculating, there is some credence to the rumors that Moore will join Texas.

Jordan Scruggs and Hank South, recruiting analysts for 247 Sports, released their official predictions for Moore on Thursday. They both stated that, following an amazing individual season with the Roadrunners, Texas will be his portal destination.

Moore had the third-most sacks in the FBS during the regular season with 14. He recorded eight sacks and two forced fumbles in 2022.

TURNER-GOODEN TO PORTAL DEC 7Texas Longhorns security According to reports from On3, Larry Turner-Gooden plans to use the transfer portal on Thursday.

Turner-Gooden, a 2022 recruit, played in four games in the previous season, including Washington’s game at the Alamo Bowl. Last year, he recorded two total tackles.

Cain only made nine catches in his two seasons with the Horns, falling short of expectations that he would play a significant role in the offense in 2022. He had just one 13-yard reception in 2023.

He said in a statement, “My four years here at UT is something I will always remember for the rest of my life.” “With all the brothers I’ve gained, all the coaches I’ve had, with all the lessons I’ve learned, the experiences I have experienced, and from seeing this team grow into what it is today, it all means so much to me, but with that being said, my time here must come to and end.”
