Good luck catching up to the fastest player in Week 2 of the 2023 college football season, if you’re looking for him. Reel Analytics shows that Ohio State football star wide receiver Marvin Harrison, who maxed out at 22.2 miles per hour during his incredible 71-yard touchdown score against the Youngstown State Penguins at home, had the biggest turbo jets of all the players who played last week.
Harrison led Ohio State football with 160 receiving yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions during the team’s victory over the Penguins. He’s not the only Buckeye, though, who burned downfield for Youngstown State. In addition, Emeka Egbuka had a fantastic performance, amassing 94 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches.
According to NFL Rookie Watch, Harrison’s speed on that touchdown play even surpassed that of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill in Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season.
Harrison and the Buckeyes’ offense are a major factor in the team’s status as one of the top contenders for the national championship this year. Harrison wants to surpass his incredible sophomore campaign in 2022, when he caught 77 passes for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. Many anticipate that he will light it up even more in the Buckeyes’ passing attack now that he is in his third year of college.

Reel Analytics reports that Harrison’s 71-yard touchdown reception during Ohio State’s 35-7 victory over Youngstown State clocked a maximum speed of 22.2 mph.
Together with Colorado running back Dylan Edwards, Harrison was one of only two players to clock in excess of 22 mph.
