sad news:Minnesota Vikings player Nick Mullens found dead..

Nick Mullens of the Vikings is back to practice, but don’t count on him to challenge Joshua Dobbs for quarterback

Nick Mullens, the quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, was cleared to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, according to a team announcement. He now has a 21-day window to be added to the 53-man roster by the Vikings or placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the campaign.

A back injury put Mullens on inactive reserve in October. This season, he has not yet made a game.

Mullens would not take Josh Dobbs’ spot as the starting quarterback if he were to return. ESPN reports that Mullens would be in the running for the No. 2 spot.

Following Kirk Cousins’ season-ending Achilles injury, the Arizona Cardinals traded Dobbs to the Vikings, where he has established himself as their starting quarterback over the last two games. After injured rookie Jaren Hall was replaced in Week 9, Dobbs helped the Vikings defeat the Falcons 31–28. He helped Minnesota defeat the Saints the following week. He has three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in those victories, with no interceptions.

QBs for the Vikings have been hampered by injuries this season. Mullens is still not on the active roster, their franchise player is out for the season, and Hall is recovering from a concussion sustained during the team’s victory over Atlanta. According to ESPN, Mullen looks to be returning soon, and the team hopes to have Hall back for practice this week.

The Minnesota Vikings will next travel to Denver to play the Denver Broncos on “Sunday Night Football.”

Nick Mullens is out, Marcus Davenport is in for the Vikings-Chiefs.
