Sad news for Arkansas Razorbacks:He will not play again

Mailbag: Will the Razorbacks have a schedule break the following season?

Arkansas football’s 29-27 loss to Missouri last week marked the end of the regular season on a bad note.

On Sunday, the Razorbacks (6-6, 3-5 SEC) will find out where they will play their remaining bowl game. However, the regular season came to an unsatisfactory end, and some fans are already anticipating next year. Today’s mailbag is about Arkansas’s future.

Although Arkansas’ challenging schedule shouldn’t be used as an excuse for the disappointing season, coach Sam Pittman has stated that he doesn’t want to do so, it’s crucial to consider it when reviewing the regular season.

A SEC West schedule is unavoidably difficult. But when the schedule was looked at prior to the season, Arkansas’ non-conference schedule was what made it so difficult this year. Cincinnati had just finished their undefeated regular season and made it to the College Football Playoffs. Missouri State arrived in Fayetteville ranked among the top five FCS teams. Liberty was ranked in the Top 25, as was BYU.
