Good news for Tampa Bay Buccaneers:He’s back…
|For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, good news: Mike Evans is content with both Trask and Mayfield.
As they prepare for a new season without quarterback Tom Brady, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently going through a transitional period.
Many fans are anxious about this change because they want to be sure that they will remain competitive. The good news is that wide receiver Mike Evans has been impressed by two players who could take Brady’s spot.
Later in the year, when summer camp begins, Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask will compete for the quarterback position.
Evans told NBC affiliate KPRC’s Ari Alexander, “Kyle’s improved a lot.” “What I’ve observed with Baker has really impressed me. I have no doubt that whoever starts at quarterback will make the right decision, and we will win a few games.”
In the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Trask was chosen by the Buccaneers. He played in just one game the previous year, completing three passes for 23 yards.
Evans is looking to make history of his own. He has nine seasons in a row with 1,000 or more receiving yards, and he is aiming to surpass Jerry Rice’s record of eleven seasons with at least 1,000 yards.
“I consider it. I’m going to try my hardest to get that because it’s right there,” Evans declared. “At this moment, I am already one of one. I’m hoping to surpass the legendary Jerry Rice’s record. It goes without saying that no one will ever surpass his records, probably ever. It would be nice to have that 1,000-yard streak record, though.
“If I’m healthy, I should gain 1,000 yards. Each year,” Evans remarked. “That’s not it. My goal is to rank among the best in the league. My goal is to win games. That’s
Running back for the Buccaneers announces he’s cleared to report to training camp
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are just one day away from returning to the field for training camp. Now that Tom Brady has announced his permanent retirement, the Buccaneers can start the preseason without the burden of expectations that have been placed on them over the previous few years.
The bulk of the team is anticipated to be prepared for camp, and the team is also in relatively good health. Sean Tucker, a rookie running back who was not selected, said on social media on Monday night that he has been cleared to play.
The Buccaneers are happy to see this after Tucker missed OTAs and Mandatory Mini-Camp due to a suspected cardiac condition. He was unable to participate in the NFL Combine due to the same concern, which also played a significant role in his April draft rejection.
After the draft was over, Tucker quickly received a deal offer from Tampa Bay. The team guaranteed him $155,000, which is one of the higher sums for an undrafted free agent this season. In a room in need of reinforcement, Tucker is a dark horse candidate to make the final roster if healthy.
