Ahead of Week 14, the Buccaneers’ injury report contains both positive and negative news.

To put it plainly, Sunday in Atlanta will determine the fate of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers season.

With just four games remaining in the schedule, a victory would vault the Bucs into first place and throw wide open the NFC South race. If Tampa Bay loses, the season is virtually over and there is no chance of them making the playoffs.

Every job in the building is on the line, so what transpires in Week 14 could determine everything.

Injuries to important players have been hurting the Bucs lately. The team’s narrow victory over Carolina last week may have been caused by the absence of four key defensive players.

The injury report for this week has a mixed bag of positive and negative news.

Before their Week 14 matchup with the Falcons, the Buccaneers’ injury report is not great.

The Bucs have again ruled out Devin White and Jamel Dean before the weekend, which is just one of many things to sort through in the final injury report.

Lavonte However, David is not one of the players who have already been ruled out. David won’t be playing until Sunday, when the Bucs play their home game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Last Sunday was difficult at linebacker because rookie SirVocea Dennis, David, and White were all out. As a result, the Bucs were down to just a few healthy linebackers, and Ryan Neal had to fill in as an emergency because of K.J. Britt’s injury in the first quarter.

The Bucs still lack depth at linebacker, but with David and Dennis back, the second level gets a much-needed boost.

Not just the defense is able to exhale a little more easily. The Bucs will be fully healthy at key positions on Sunday because Chris Godwin and Tristan Wirfs do not have an injury designation. Everyone will be watching to see if Godwin gets involved, but unlike last week, his neck injury is not an acceptable justification.

Even though there was a ton of positive news to take in, Vita Vea’s participation is the main unknown going into Sunday.

He has been dealing with a lot of injuries since the bye week, and it was evident that he was missing the Buffalo game. If he is injured or unable to play, it presents a challenge for the Bucs run defense.

Although Tampa Bay managed to win the division last week, they cannot consistently play teams with just one win. The Bucs have shown they can succeed even with a thin roster, but they will require every bit of assistance to get past Atlanta and reclaim the top spot.
