DEC 10 BURKS GOING TOThe Texas Longhorns will host star Purdue transfer wide receiver Deion Burks, according to a report from 247Sports.

The report states that while the visitation dates are still being finalized, he will travel to Austin at some point this week. Next weekend, Burks will also be in Norman, Oklahoma, to see the Oklahoma Sooners.

With the Boilermakers in 2023, one of the best receivers in the Big Ten while catching passes from former Longhorn Hudson Card Burks has 47 catches for 629 yards and seven touchdowns.

MUKUBA IS ARRIVING IN ATX DEC 8Former Clemson Tigers safety Andrew Mukuba has reportedly scheduled several visits after logging into the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier this week, according to reports from On3.

And a trip to the Texas Longhorns in Austin is one of those visits.

Austin native Mukuba, the portal’s top-ranked safety, was a vital member of a Clemson team that finished No. 24 in the country for scoring defense, No. 5 for pass defense, No. 27 for rush defense, and No. 7 for total defense.

Mukuba finished third on that defense in terms of total tackles (42), along with two sacks for loss and six interceptions of passes.

Mukuba has participated in 35 games over the past three seasons, recording 143 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception, and 16 PBUs.

Additionally, he has scheduled visits to Ole Miss, Oregon, USC, and Oklahoma, the home of his former lead recruiter and defensive coordinator, Brent Venables.

NEYOR TO PORTAL DEC 8The NCAA Transfer Portal has been accessed by Texas Longhorns reserve wide receiver Isaiah Neyor, according to reports from On3.

After transferring from Wyoming, Neyor was once a highly-anticipated addition to the Longhorns roster. However, after suffering an injury that ended his first season in Austin, he was never able to get into the receiver rotation.

TREY MOORE TO TEXAS DEC 7?What about on defense? It’s been reported that the Texas Longhorns have already communicated with a few top receivers via the transfer portal.

Trey Moore, a UTSA EDGE transfer, has been the subject of a Texas-sized buzz since he entered the portal on Tuesday; however, no reported contact has occurred as of yet. Now that recruiting analysts are speculating, there is some credence to the rumors that Moore will join Texas.

Jordan Scruggs and Hank South, recruiting analysts for 247 Sports, released their official predictions for Moore on Thursday. They both stated that, following an amazing individual season with the Roadrunners, Texas will be his portal destination.

Moore had the third-most sacks in the FBS during the regular season with 14. He recorded eight sacks and two forced fumbles in 2022.

If these predictions come to pass, one of the most promising pass-rushers in the nation would be joining Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian.

TURNER-GOODEN TO PORTAL DEC 7Texas Longhorns security According to reports from On3, Larry Turner-Gooden plans to use the transfer portal on Thursday.

Turner-Gooden, a 2022 recruit, played in four games in the previous season, including Washington’s game at the Alamo Bowl. Last year, he recorded two total tackles.

TURNER-GOODEN TO PORTAL DEC 7Texas Longhorns security According to reports from On3, Larry Turner-Gooden plans to use the transfer portal on Thursday.

Turner-Gooden, a 2022 recruit, played in four games in the previous season, including Washington’s game at the Alamo Bowl. Last year, he recorded two total tackles.

DEC 6 FILM OUTTexas Longhorns safety BJ Allen has reportedly logged into the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to a report from Joe Cook of Inside Texas.

Allen, a former 4-star recruit from the 2022 class, played in just two games for Texas to end its eligibility.

He will still be eligible for at least three more years.

GORAM-WELCH TO PORTAL DEC 6Sawyer Goram-Welch, an offensive lineman for the Longhorns, will register as a graduate transfer on the NCAA Transfer portal, according to a tweet.

Among the top players in Texas’ 2022 recruiting class, Blue dropped to the fifth spot on the depth chart this year. In eight games, he gained 33 yards on 15 carries.

Farewell to Bijan Robinson, the Best Running Back in College Football

Blue was expected to receive more work in the upcoming season because Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson left the program to pursue NFL dreams.

Jalen Catalon, a former standout safety for the Arkansas Razorbacks, is expected to visit Austin. Catalon joined the NCAA Transfer Portal this month following four years in Fayetteville.

Catalon reportedly wasn’t in Austin to see the Longhorns when he was there earlier this month.

He will now visit the program this coming weekend.

Despite spending four years with the Razorbacks, Catalon has only appeared in seven games over the last two seasons because of injuries. The previous season, Arkansas defeated Texas 40–21, and he had eight total tackles and a pass defense.

Catalon established himself as one of the SEC’s top safeties when healthy.
