NFL report:I wish to return back to Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tom Brady’s most recent remarks regarding his potential NFL comeback

Even though Tom Brady essentially declared his retirement from the NFL one month ago, there is still a lot of conjecture regarding his possible comeback. The remarks Brady made to the media, beginning a few days after his announcement on the “Let’s Go!” podcast and responding, “you never say never,” when asked if he would make a comeback, haven’t done anything to resolve this.

The former quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was asked about his future course of action when he appeared on Fred Couples’ SiriusXM radio program. Couples asked Brady, “Maybe you can tell us where you’re going?” Brady responded incoherently once more.

Brady said, “I think there’s a lot of great things and a lot of great opportunities that I know I said right after football season. I tell you, I wish I had a clear vision of what the future holds.” It was something I was eager to do with my family. And over the past five weeks, I have done that. He went on, “And I’m sure there will be a lot more of that.

“I like to keep myself busy, that much is clear. I actually went to see my parents tonight, which will be a major highlight for me on their ground. I also played a little bit of golf. I’ll be spending the night in the same bed that I did as a child. My mother may not even be aware that I’m returning home. It’s a bit of a surprise, so it’s just between my dad and me. I’m looking forward to that, as well as playing golf and spending more time with my family in the coming days, after which we’ll decide our next course of action.”

As you can see, Brady consistently provides evasive answers when asked about his potential NFL comeback.

Should Brady formally return to the NFL, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will not trade him.

Former TE shares how he 'devalued' a rare Tom Brady game ball

It is highly unlikely that Tom Brady would return to the New England Patriots or the purported San Francisco 49ers, but if he were to decide to play again, the Buccaneers would need to be open to it as they still own his rights.

Bruce Arians, the coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has stated unequivocally that should the renowned quarterback choose to come out of retirement, his team will not be trading for Tom Brady. When asked if the team would agree to trade Brady if he looks for a new team, Arians responded, “No, that would be a bad deal,” according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Brady’s trade is highly unlikely, as Arians stated they would only do so if they received five first-round draft picks in exchange.
