Tom Brady announces his brief retirement and return to the Buccaneers
TAMPA, Florida: NFL star quarterback Tom Brady announced his comeback and said he would play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers again after a brief hiatus.
Brady announced on social media on Sunday that he will be playing football again next season.
Brady posted on Twitter, “Over the last two months, I’ve come to the realization that my place is still on the field, not in the stands.” “The moment will arrive. But not right now. I adore my family for being there for me and my teammates. They enable everything. I’m returning to Tampa for my 23rd season. LFG unfinished business.”
Brady announced in February that he was giving up on the game, saying, “I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore.” The announcement was made not long after. Although I enjoyed my time in the NFL, it is time for me to devote more of my time and energy to other matters that need my attention.”
In a lengthy retirement post, he expressed gratitude to his family, friends, rivals, coaches, and teammates, among many other significant people.
Confusion arose from the decision because there had been conflicting reports prior to his formal announcement. Brady had declared recently that he was still undecided about retiring.
Prior to announcing his retirement, Brady stated on a podcast, “When the time is right, I’ll be ready to make a decision.”
Following his Sunday decision, Brady’s illustrious career will continue.
Brady has won seven Super Bowls in his 22 seasons, six of them with the Patriots and one with the Buccaneers. He holds the NFL record for passing yards, completions, and touchdowns. He was named the league’s most valuable player in 2007, 2010, and 2017.
Now entering his 23rd season with the Bucs, the 44-year-old quarterback is prepared to continue proving that age is just a number.

Breaking records One year after changing his mind to leave the NFL, quarterback Tom Brady declared on Wednesday that he was “retiring for good” at the age of 45.
Brady made his announcement via a social media video. His Tampa Bay Buccaneers team lost in the wildcard round of the NFL playoffs last month.
Brady said, sitting by the beach, “Good morning, I’ll get right to the point: I’m retiring for good.”
Brady holds the record for most Super Bowl victories with seven, having won six of them with the New England Patriots before his final victory with Tampa in 2020.
Forty days after announcing his retirement on February 1, 2022, Brady announced that he would be joining the Bucs for the 2022 season.
“As I knew the procedure was quite significant the last time, I thought I would just press record and inform you guys first when I woke up this morning. Thus, I won’t ramble on,” he continued.
“I believe you are only allowed one extremely sentimental retirement essay, and I wrote mine last year. I sincerely want to thank each and every one of you for your support.
“I could list my competitors, teammates, friends, family, and so on; there are just too many. I’m grateful that you guys allowed me to live the life of my dreams. Nothing would be altered by me. I love you all, “he uttered.
