Anoucement: Minnesota Vikings star player is leaving…

With a hamstring injury, Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson leaves the game in the fourth quarter.

Due to a right hamstring injury, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was forced to leave the game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth quarter. The Vikings are unsure of when Jefferson will be able to return.

During a third-down pass deep in Kansas City territory, Jefferson slipped on the turf while attempting to make a cut. He grabbed the back of his right leg and staggered to the sideline. Two plays later, the Vikings scored a touchdown, but they lost 27–20 to drop to 1-4 on the season.

After the game, coach Kevin O’Connell remarked, “It’s still very early.” “Observe his current state as we proceed and determine the precise nature of the injury and its timeline.”

Next Sunday, the Vikings travel to Chicago to play the Bears.

Jefferson was declared doubtful to return, but he stayed on the sidelines to watch the rest of the game while wearing a towel over his head. Throughout his career, the All-Pro who led the NFL in yards and receptions the previous season has never missed a game.

QB Kirk Cousins said, “Justin’s done a phenomenal job for the last 3 1/2 years of staying healthy and being out there every week, which is hard to do.” Therefore, even with this injury, you have to take a moment to appreciate how healthy he has been. The players are here, in my opinion, to try to close that gap.

“Though it will be difficult to fill, I believe we can succeed as a team.”

Without his two best receivers, Jefferson and tight end T.J. Hockenson, Cousins launched a late drive as Minnesota attempted to drive to tie the game in the fourth quarter.

Later in the game, Hockenson appeared to have recovered from his injury, but Cousins was left to play receiver against rookie Jordan Addison, K.J. Osborn, Brandon Powell, and practice squad call-up N’Keal Harry.

Sunday’s second quarter saw Addison, the 23rd overall draft choice this year out of USC, score his third touchdown of the year. He has 19 catches on 29 targets for 249 yards this season, including a team-high six receptions and 64 yards on Sunday.

“After hearing that he had fallen, I thought, ‘This is my chance to take the field and prove to everyone in this stadium that I am that guy, too.'” “With the receiver room we have, I’m pretty sure that all our guys are starting to think like that right now,” Addison stated, then went on to say. It will therefore be an extremely intense practice week. We’ll all return to work prepared, I’m sure, given Jet’s circumstances.

Vikings Declare Jordan Hicks Will Resume Workouts

Hicks will resume practice on Tuesday, according to Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell. This announcement will start the 21-day countdown until the team can decide whether to promote Hicks from Injured Reserve to the 53-man roster.

Hicks was hurt during Minnesota’s matchup with the Saints in Week 10. After what was initially believed to be a deep bruise swiftly turned into compartment syndrome, Hicks needed emergency surgery at the hospital and was transported there by ambulance. On November 14, it was decided he would miss at least the next four games and he was placed on Injured Reserve.
