Former Steelers wide receiver stopped by the Patriots

Pittsburgh — JuJu Smith-Schuster, a former wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, will end his season on injured reserve because of a persistent ankle injury. The New England Patriots will shut down Smith-Schuster in the final two games as they are eliminated from the playoffs. In his 11 games during his rookie campaign with the Patriots, Smith-Schuster caught 29 passes for 260 yards and one touchdown.

Prior to his ankle injury, he had experienced a concussion and some knee issues during the year. The former second-round pick, who played with the Kansas City Chiefs the previous season, inked a three-year, $33 million contract this offseason. The Steelers were his home team for his first five seasons in the NFL, during which he caught 323 passes for 3,855 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Against the Steelers in Week 15, when the Patriots defeated Pittsburgh, he caught four passes for ninety yards, which was his best performance of the season.

The Patriots’ next game featuring Smith-Schuster will probably feature a new rookie quarterback because New England currently owns the third pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. For the most up-to-date information, exclusive interviews, movie analyses, and much more, be sure to bookmark All Steelers!

Seahawks Receive Huge Support Ahead of Steelers Match

Pittsburgh — The Seattle Seahawks had some concerning injuries during the week, but they received some excellent news about their offense right before kickoff against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Seahawks anticipate having wide receiver DK Metcalf (back) and running back Kenneth Walker (shoulder/illness) on the field in Week 17 against the Steelers, despite Walker missing practice time throughout the week.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that although Walker and Metcalf are both rated as questionable going into the game, both are anticipated to play.

Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. acknowledged that he had this matchup marked as soon as he learned the two would play each other this season and expressed hope that Metcalf would play in Week 17. Porter stated, “Like every matchup, I’m ready for it and I’ve been looking forward to it.” “This one is significant. I’m prepared to go to work because I’ve had this one circled on my calendar and everyone has been talking about it, I won’t lie.

Metcalf has caught 60 passes for 998 yards and eight touchdowns so far this season. Walker has seven touchdowns and 774 yards gained through rushes. The Steelers have listed Kenny Pickett (ankle) as questionable and will be without Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee), Trenton Thompson (neck), and Elandon Roberts (pectoral) against the Seahawks. Whether or not Pickett plays, Mason Rudolph will still get the start at quarterback.
