NBA Report:Good News For Golden State Warriors:He is back….

After their first victory, the Golden State Warriors get even better news.

Following their first-ever regular-season victory over the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center on Friday night, the Golden State Warriors have more encouraging news.

The veteran forward Draymond Green, who suffered an ankle injury before training camp last month, has confirmed he will play in his first game of the season on Sunday against the Houston Rockets.

Draymond Green’s return will help the Golden State Warriors going into their first back-to-back of the campaign.

The former Defensive Player of the Year told Anthony Slater of The Athletic that he will “for sure” play against the Rockets, but he is unsure of whether he will start or have a minute restriction.

The starting lineup debate for the Warriors will resurface with Green’s return. Chris Paul, a 38-year-old veteran point guard, has started the team’s first two games. Green is expected to come off the bench and replace Paul or Kevon Looney in the starting lineup.

Head coach Steve Kerr will surely have some headaches after reintroducing Green because many of his bench players have proven themselves and deserve more playing time rather than fewer.

This includes Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody, who both filled in for Green in his absence as third-year teammates. Over the course of just over 47 minutes against the Kings, the two combined for 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Andrew Wiggins, a 2022 All-Star who was occasionally benched in favor of Kuminga in the first two games, may face more pressure. In the victory over the Kings, the Canadian player contributed just under 27 minutes of play and ended with 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists on 5-13 shooting.

The Warriors’ game against the Rockets is the first leg of a back-to-back; on Monday, they will travel to Smoothie King Center in New Orleans to play the Pelicans.

‘Good Progress’ Being Made by Warriors’ Draymond Green Following Ankle Injury

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors has advanced in his recuperation from a sprained left ankle.

On Tuesday, the Warriors declared that Green “is making good progress” and that he is now able to start “light on-court workouts.” He will be reassessed on Sunday, and his return to full practice and scrimmages will depend on how well he continues to progress.

Due to the injury, Green was not able to participate in the opening of training camp. On October 2, the Warriors announced during media day that he would be getting another evaluation in two weeks. Green was anticipated to miss the team’s first three preseason games, according to a later report by ESPN’s Kendra Andrews, but the team was “sure” he would return by opening night.

Green claimed that the injury happened when he landed on teammate Jonathan Kuminga’s foot while scrimmaging.

“I’ve had a negative few. It might have been just as horrible as I initially anticipated,” said Green. “We were just playing pickup when I stumbled and fell on JK’s foot while trying to make a layup. I believe that I’m
