LSU Tiger sign another star player from..

LSU Football: Tigers Sign 5-Star Offensive Lineman Weston Davis Davis officially signs with LSU during the Early Signing Period on Wednesday.

Five-star offensive tackle Weston Davis switched from Texas A&M to LSU, marking one of the biggest recruiting cycles for LSU football in 2024.

Having put pen to paper on the first day of the Early Signing Period, he has now officially made it official.

In October, LSU offensive line coach Brad Davis traveled to Beaumont, Texas, to meet with Davis. The choice was made soon after.

Davis gave LSU his all.

The third-ranked offensive tackle in the United States entered a 2024 recruiting class in dire need of a big splash. LSU now gets the final point for the current cycle.

Although the nation’s top-20 prospect had pledged himself to Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M since the summer, LSU’s coaching staff persisted in their pursuit of the highly sought-after offensive lineman.

With the addition of the 6-foot-5, 285-pound player, Davis becomes the third five-star offensive lineman the Tigers have signed in the last three recruiting cycles, along with Will Campbell (2022) and Lance Heard (2023).

As Kelly and Co. continue to bolster this roster for the long run, this is as significant a recruiting move as LSU could have made this year.

Three 2024 commitments that LSU successfully flipped from their prior programs have been signed by the Tigers.

The 6-foot-160-pound New Orleans, Louisiana native, who has been committed to the Ole Miss Rebels since June, resumed recruiting in October. Kelly pushed for Causey, as did his recruiting team. This fall, four-star cornerback Ondre Evans committed to another school, so LSU made sure to work hard to get reinforcements. Causey is now formally a Tiger.

The native of Mississippi quickly made his commitment to the Tigers known after rescinding his pledge to Mississippi State in October. A player who was leaning toward the Ole Miss Rebels was recruited by LSU, and this program finally sealed the deal when he returned to campus in the fall.
