The Transfer Portal’s Texas Longhorns Land Electric Wide Receiver

Despite losing in the semifinals, the Texas Longhorns had a great 2023 season. The Longhorns finally seem to be back in the conversation among college football’s elite after years of disappointment. They added another offensive weapon today and have been adding talent all offseason. Silas Bolden, a former wide receiver for Oregon State, declared his commitment to Texas.

With the Beavers, the 5’8 165 WR caught 80 passes for 1,076 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Bolden is the fifth player from the transfer portal to pledge his commitment to the Longhorns. He was an all-around Oregon State player. In 2023, he added a few rushing touchdowns, a punt return for a touchdown, and 54 receptions for 746 yards and five receiving touchdowns. He registered 80 receptions for 1,076 yards and four touchdowns during his three years with the Beavers. Two days prior, former Alabama receiver Isaiah Bolden also pledged to the program.Texas has assembled a top-tier offensive unit.
