Sad new for Florida state seminoles:He will not return..

Skilled Offensive Tackle Chooses to Stay in FSU Football Rather Than Enter the NFL Draft
DJ Uiagalelei, the transfer quarterback, will be protected by an experienced offensive line for the Seminoles.

Since the start of December, there has been a lot of movement on Florida State’s roster as players have considered their options. Big choices need to be made in a matter of weeks, whether it’s registering for the 2024 NFL Draft or using the NCAA Transfer Portal.

More positive news for the Seminoles arrived on Monday, as redshirt senior offensive tackle Jeremiah Byers announced via The Battle’s End that he would be rejoining the team for another season. He’s going to return to Tallahassee to build his resume after considering taking the risk of going professional.

Byers just finished a season in which he started all 14 games and played the most snaps of any player on the Florida State roster. The 325-pound, 6-foot-4 offensive tackle was a dependable member of the FSU offensive line. The Seminoles will have a veteran group, including offensive tackle Robert Scott, offensive tackle Darius Washington, center Maurice Smith, and offensive guard Keiondre Jones, to guard transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei now that Byers is back in the fold.
