“My family and friends have made it possible for me to have options for the future. The NFL, though, can wait another year. I’m coming back to finish my senior year at UGA.
“We need everyone’s support in Miami to close this season out the right way!”
Since taking over for quarterback Stetson Bennett, a two-time national champion, Beck has kept Georgia on the winning track.
Before the Southeastern Conference title game, Beck and the Bulldogs were able to maintain a 29-game winning streak. It’s possible that Beck’s comeback from a 14-3 halftime deficit to win 24-14 against South Carolina in the SEC opener marked his turning point.
Beck has completed 72% of his passes for 3,738 yards and 22 touchdowns against six interceptions.
Kirby Smart, the Georgia coach, likened Beck to “a bigger, physical version” of quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.

“He is playing in a different speed than anybody else when you watch it,” Smart stated.
The Bulldogs offense’s most important component for the 2024 campaign is expected to be Beck’s return.

The two charges against Carter are misdemeanors, according to the arrest warrants that 11Alive obtained earlier on Wednesday.
The football player, 21, and the employee, Chandler LeCroy, were “operating their vehicles in a manner consistent with racing shortly after leaving the downtown Athens area at about 2:30 a.m.” on the morning of the crash, according to a new statement released by Athens-Clarke County Police on Wednesday. The Bulldogs had paraded through Athens the day before to celebrate winning the national championship, which is when the incident happened.
