Good news for Cincinnati Bengals: He is back…
|Good News for the Bengals: Joe Burrow is still in the building; Ted is irate and wants to be a bad seed; Tee and Taylor-Britt are practicing.
In his first session back since hurting his hamstring in preseason a month ago, Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins was labeled as limited on Thursday. Nevertheless, he cautiously states he feels 100% and that Monday night’s (8:15; Cincinnati’s Channel 9 and ESPN) game in Jacksonville is the plan.
No. 1 cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt is also limited but showing hopeful signs after missing last Sunday’s game due to a quad injury.
“I feel like I’m there, but I definitely don’t want to push myself too soon where I go out there and have a setback,” Higgins said following his practice. “Even though I feel like I’m at my best, I’m still taking my time. All I’m doing is attempting to resume my normal routine.”
Higgins stated that during the Wednesday practice before to the Houston game on November 12, he hurt his hamstring while running a deep ball. Quarterback Joe Burrow had the second-best passer rating in the NFL at that point, and the Bengals had won four games in a row.
As of right now, they have lost three in a row, and Burrow (throwing wrist) is gone for the season. Jake Browning is the quarterback.
Jake is acting confidently while playing. Higgins, anticipating his first reception with Browning, remarked, “You can see the confidence he’s been building since he came in for Joe in the Ravens game.” The way he’s leading the attack doesn’t seem all that different from Joe. I’m excited to catch balls off of him.”
The sentiment is shared by both parties.
“Tee is among the NFL’s best receivers. “I think it’s hard to express how crucial he is to this offense,” Browning stated at his weekly press conference on Thursday following practice. We have an excellent receiver room, and I don’t want to detract from that. Andrei’s (Iosivas) playing, in my opinion, kept becoming better. Trenton Irwin has demonstrated that he
BROWNING GETTING SETTLED: As he gets ready for his first road start this week, Browning stated he feels more in tune following his first NFL start at Paycor Stadium last week.
“I see it as a chance to enter a game where I’ve already spent a week as the starter; even the Wednesday practice went so much more smoothly this time around than it did the previous week. What will all of this look like (last week was)?” stated Browning. “I have a whole week of that coming up, and I guess I also keep bringing up the idea that, whichever week this is (13), this is like week 2 or week 3 for me, so you know that everyone is getting a head start on the season.
SLANTS AND SCREENS: True to his word, Burrow turned up on Monday following surgery to repair the ruptured ligament in his throwing wrist. He practiced while wearing a cast on his hand and a sling across his arm. “Hello reporter people,” he said amiably as a group of reporters left the practice field. has time to connect with his guys at all times. In order to start a game, Burrow went seeking for the card table in the locker room’s practice squad annex and dragged it out with his left hand. That’s all there is to it when it comes to his meaning here.
Center The Thursday-Wednesday practice went really well, according to Ted Karras as well. During Monday night weeks,
“We have a big prime-time game against a team vying for the top seed in this conference, and we’re bringing the energy.” Going to beat them on Monday Night Football would be fantastic, Karras remarked. “I’m merely a bit irritated. Sometimes I like to play like that. In my opinion, all 11 of us performed better overall. A better, more seamless practice. Men showed up for work. I’m proud of this team’s self-management. In the next six weeks, we’re going to learn a lot about ourselves.”
Browning had a right wrist problem when he appeared on the injury report, of all things. However, he had a busy Thursday.
Logan Wilson, a middle linebacker, also suffered an ankle/foot injury after departing late on Sunday.
