Good news: Nottingham Forest signed another good player from.

Aina joins Awoniyi and Dennis at Nottingham Forest after signing a transfer.

Ola Aina, a defender for the Super Eagles, has returned to England after joining Nottingham Forest from Torino in Italy.

The 26-year-old defender agreed to a two-year contract that includes a one-year option.

Aina’s signing makes perfect sense for the Steve Cooper-managed team, who struggled in their Premier League comeback and have since opted to add players who do not need to adjust to the English game.

Aina will play alongside two other Nigerian players, Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis, who both arrived at the start of the previous season, however the terms of the transfer are unknown.

Aina, who was promoted from the London Academy in 2016, made his Chelsea debut as a senior. In the Carabao Cup, he made his debut for previous head coach Antonio Conte in a 3-2 victory over Bristol Rovers.

Before making a permanent switch to the Turin-based team in 2019, the 26-year-old defender had loan stints at Seria side Torino and English side Hull City.

Before spending a further two seasons back at Torino, he also played one season on loan at Fulham in the Championship.

Aina expressed his excitement and the manager’s words that persuaded him to make the transfer in his first interview.
