Nebraska Cornhuskers have officially announced the signing a new QB
Dylan Raiola officially signed with Nebraska.

The top-ranked recruit for Nebraska in the modern era is now the legacy prospect. Raiola is also very close to the Cornhuskers on a personal level. His father, Dominic Raiola, was the inaugural Rimington Trophy winner and played at Nebraska from 1998 to 2000.

Raiola had a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 34-to-1 while throwing for Buford High School in Georgia last season, with over 2,800 yards of total passing yardage. During his career, he passed for 8,442 yards and 88 touchdowns with just 11 interceptions.

In the 2024 class, the Huskers also selected Daniel Kaelin, a quarterback from Bellevue West. On Wednesday, Kaelin and his classmates Isaiah McMorris and Dae’vonn Hall signed with the Huskers. Carter Nelson, an Ainsworth athlete and the top-ranked in-state prospect for the 2024 recruiting class, is also a member of the class.
On Wednesday, Nebraska added 39 student-athletes in total to its 2024 roster.
Thirteen states’ worth of athletes, including sixteen Nebraskans, are among the new entrants. One transfer was included among the 39 additions, and thirty-eight of them will be freshmen the following season.

Raiola is the only member of Matt Rhule’s staff who is a holdover from former Nebraska coach Scott Frost’s staff. Raiola is the uncle of the five-star prospect. According to the Omaha World-Herald, Raiola’s contract extension runs until December 31, 2024, which puts him in line with the other positional coaches at Nebraska.
The announcement of Raiola’s renewal coincided with an uptick in recent days over Nebraska’s efforts to secure a commitment from his nephew. Daniel Kaelin, a quarterback commit for the class of 2024, was informed by Nebraska’s coaching staff that they think they can move Raiola from Georgia to Lincoln, according to ESPN. Raiola is expected to travel to Nebraska on Friday, according to 247Sports. According to ESPN, Kaelin was informed by Nebraska’s coaches that they would respect his pledge if they were to sign Raiola.
Furthermore, it’s been speculated that Nebraska is the front-runner to sign Ohio State transfer Kyle McCord. The Cornhuskers are hoping to recruit two quarterbacks in the near future, so Rhule emphasized the value of openness during an interview on the “Pat McAfee Show.”
