Good news:Harlequins announce a superstar return..

LUKE WALLACE HEADS BACK TO SARLINGS

Luke Wallace, a back row player, has returned to the Harlequins from the Leicester Tigers, effective immediately.

The former Quins fan favorite, who is making his way back to South West London this week, has committed to the Club till the end of the 2021–2022 campaign.

After joining Leicester from Greene King IPA Championship team Coventry last summer, the 30-year-old is back at The Stoop and will strive to add to his 169 appearances in the Famous Quarters between 2009 and 2019.

Wallace led Harlequins to victories in the Aviva ‘A’ League and LV= Cup during his first ten years at the club. The flanker, who was born in St Albans, was then called up to the England Saxons side for the 2013–14 campaign.

Billy Millard, general manager, stated: “We’re happy to have Luke back at Harlequins this week.” With Will Evans out for the remainder of the season, he will give us some much-needed injury cover.

“I know Luke will have a positive impact at the Club and provide us some useful depth in the seven position as we finish out the season. Luke has always been a popular member of the Harlequins family.”

Wallace made the following statement upon his return: “First of all, I want to thank Tigers for the opportunity and experience over the past year.” Working with such exceptional players, coaches, and staff on one of the biggest teams in the league was a pleasure.

“I’m very happy to be returning to Harlequins.” I’m excited to be a part of the team that will compete for the title this season and beyond since I value this Club greatly.

Rumored League Convert Tuivasa-Sheck To Play In The NRL Again The Following Season

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, an All Black who rose to fame in National Rugby League, has declared that he will be leaving Rugby Union at the end of the current campaign.

RTS, who is currently playing in Super Rugby for the Blues, has inked a multi-year contract with the New Zealand Warriors of the NRL.

The Telegraph claims that RTS has agreed to a three-year contract that will commence with the 2024 season.

The 29-year-old’s return to the NRL is a huge boost for the Warriors team, who are presently in third place in the NRL standings. He had been rumored to be heading to the Japanese League One competition in recent months.

RTS stated, “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here at the Blues and made some great friends over the past two seasons,” in reference to his comeback to rugby league.

“I won’t be giving away too much information regarding my next move out of respect for the Blues, my teammates, coaches, and of course the fans.

“But one thing is for sure, as soon as I found out what lay ahead for me, I wanted to make this announcement and get the conversation back on track with the season.”

“As we aim to finish as high on the standings as possible and compete for a postseason berth, we have a crucial stretch of games coming up.

“I want to take care of my injured hand as soon as possible so that I can return and support this team in any way I can for the rest of 2023.”

RTS was regarded as the best player in rugby league during his first term as the Warriors’ captain.

There was a lot of enthusiasm surrounding his switch to Rugby Union, and many believed he would go on to become a superstar in both Super Rugby and Test cricket. Although he never quite reached the levels anticipated, he was by no means a bust as he displayed flashes of his abilities.

Prior to turning pro in League, RTS had gone through the Blues academy. RTS expressed gratitude to the Blues Union for enabling him to fulfill a “childhood dream.”

“I am appreciative of the Blues for providing me with the chance to visit the club where I used to play in my youth.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone I have worked with and played a part in for the opportunity to realize some of my childhood aspirations.

Blues head coach Leon MacDonald expressed his support for one of his star players’ decisions to take on a new challenge by saying:

Before sustaining an injury early in the season, he was truly settling in as a midfield player.

“He should be proud of the work ethic and dedication he’s shown in honing his profession throughout his time with the Blues.

“He will still be part of our plans for 2023 as we try to get the campaign off to a strong start and secure home field advantage in the competition’s knockout stages.”

“I’ll be following along with interest and sending him my best wishes for the next chapter of his journey!”
