Alexander invited himself onto the field and rushed on alongside Aaron Jones, Eric Wilson, and Quay Walker despite not being named captain and not being supposed to be there.
Alexander explained that he did so because he was born in Charlotte after the game. He also hinted that Matt LaFleur, the coach, was unaware of his Carolinian heritage.
“It’s just fitting,” Alexander remarked. “I don’t think the coach was aware of my Charlotte roots.”
Alexander reiterated his decision to run unopposed, citing the support of his teammates even if he did so under his coaches’ backs.

With 102.9 receiving yards per game this season, Jefferson is second in the NFL, having during the first four seasons of his career accumulated more receiving yards than any player in NFL history. He just finished a game in which he caught six passes for 141 yards and one touchdown against Detroit.
Jefferson has caught eight passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns in 2021 and nine passes for 184 yards and two scores in 2022 during his last two home games versus the Packers.
