|Bobby Witt Jr.’s Social Media Post Following New Deal Signature Will Excite Kansas City Royals Supporters
Superstar Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals inked a record-breaking 11-year contract deal to remain in Kansas City on Monday. His social media message after the news will make Royals supporters want to run through a wall.
Superstar Bobby Witt Jr. of the Kansas City Royals inked a record-breaking 11-year deal extension for almost $290 million on Monday. The agreement may be as short as seven years or as long as fourteen, depending on opt-outs and other contract details, but Witt Jr. will be residing in Kansas City for the foreseeable future regardless of the outcome.
Despite investing more than $100 million in the offseason to bolster their squad, the Royals haven’t qualified for the postseason since 2015. Witt has been extended, and Seth Lugo, Hunter Renfroe, Adam Frazier, Chris Stratton, and Will Smith have been added.
Royals fans should be encouraged by that alone, but Witt Jr.’s social media message following the signing of his megadeal will have them primed for Opening Day from the start.
Witt Jr. is the ideal player to base the Royals’ hopes of winning the World Series again on as the team looks to emulate its 2015 campaign.
Witt Jr., one of the best young players in baseball, hit 30 home runs and finished the season with a.276 average. In addition, he drove in 96 runs, led baseball in triples with 11, and stole 49 bases. He didn’t get picked an All-Star last season for some reason.
During the 2022 season, he placed fourth in the American League Rookie of the Year voting. That season, Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners took home the trophy.
Choosing which of these six players would be most effective in a Royals reunion
