Sad news for South Carolina Gamecocks: I want to leave…

Spencer Rattler said that South Carolina football’meant everything’ despite the disappointing outcome. When Spencer Rattler was a senior at Phoenix, Arizona’s Pinnacle High School, he had no idea that South Carolina would be his final football college.

When former Sooners assistant Shane Beamer was on staff, Rattler was the starting quarterback at Oklahoma, but the two had little contact until Beamer was hired as the head coach of the Gamecocks a season later and Rattler used the transfer portal.
