JUST IN;Starting pitcher Lucas Giolito of the Red Sox talked about his elbow ailment during Spring Training one month after having surgery.

The pitching staff of the Boston Red Sox is in disarray. The squad lost a significant free agent in the offseason before the season even got underway. Star pitcher Lucas Giolito left the game suddenly during spring training because of an injury. The supporters’ worst worries were realized after a few days: Giolito would need elbow surgery and be out for the entire season. For a squad that has lost a lot of its players in the rotation, it is a devastating blow.

According to Chris Rose, Lucas Giolito finally discussed the injury that sidelined him for the season one month after it occurred. The Red Sox pitcher claimed that although he felt nothing at all before the injury, he became a little sore throughout the game.

No, nothing was going on with me. My velocity was up, and I felt fantastic. And so, I went for the second outing, and during that one I kind of realized that I did, you know, “Oh, I do feel a little sore today.” However, you overcome that. After that, I made a pitch and realized it wasn’t very good.

One of the answers to the Red Sox rotation’s difficulties from the previous campaign was supposed to be Giolito. They needed a new ace because they were among the weakest teams in the previous season and Chris Sale signed for the Atlanta Braves. Even though Giolito had a rough finish to the year, he still gave a very good performance. It was not at all a poor idea to bet on a bounce-back season.

However, the Red Sox have had to depend on a couple other pitchers to get them through the season because Giolito is out for the year. Tanner Houck, who is currently 3-1 with a 1.35 ERA and 28 strikeouts, is playing some really fantastic stuff.
