GOOD NEWS AS: Dāvis Bertāns invited to work out for the Warriors

Dāvis Bertāns has not received an invitation to camp, but the Warriors have invited him to work out for the club, according to sources who spoke with @DaltonJ_Johnson.
Last season, Bertāns participated in 43 games, 15 with the Oklahoma City Thunder and 28 with the Charlotte Hornets. He shot 39.3% from the field, 47.1% on twos (0.8 attempts), 38.0% on threes (4.7 attempts), 90.9% on free throws (0.8 attempts), and had a 58.3% True Shooting percentage while averaging 6.7 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 15.7 minutes per game.

With almost five attempts, Bertāns’ career three-point shooting percentage is 39.6%. Despite his weaknesses on the defensive glass, he would be a valuable addition to the Warriors bench as a spot-up and movement shooter who would help spread the field for their bench.

But according to Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area, Bertāns has just received a workout invitation thus far; he hasn’t been invited to training camp.

On Instagram, Artūrs Kalnītis, Bertāns’ agent, wrote that his client “will prepare for the upcoming season together” with the Warriors. Last season, Bertāns (31) was traded from OKC to Charlotte and is currently pursuing a camp offer from the Golden State.
